IUE Kambi defeated the UOT Komodos, 10–6.

IUE Kambi opened their campaign by taking on the reigning premier team in their VC Cup debut. Despite being newcomers to the tournament, the institution showed ferocious spirit, securing a massive upset against the senior institution, UOT. This victory was just the start of IUE’s blistering run: they followed up the win over UOT by dominating Divine Word University and UPNG. This three-game winning streak ensured IUE a spot in the minor semi-finals.
