About the Registrar’s Office
The Registrar’s Office at IUE is the university’s official hub for student academic records and enrollment services. We work closely with students, faculty, and staff to support your academic journey from registration to graduation.
Our primary responsibilities are organized into three main areas:
Academic Records & Data Management
We are the official keepers of your academic history. Our duties include:
- Maintaining accurate and secure student transcripts.
- Protecting the confidentiality and integrity of all student records.
- Verifying student enrollment for official purposes (e.g., scholarships, employers).
Enrollment and Scheduling
We manage the core processes that shape your academic experience. This includes:
- Processing all course registrations.
- Creating and managing official class and examination schedules.
- Ensuring compliance with all university academic policies and regulations.
Graduation and Academic Support
We help you navigate university policies and reach your final goal. We support you by:
- Providing clear guidance on academic rules and procedures.
- Confirming that all degree requirements have been met for graduation.
Mr. Ronald Meldon Aknonero holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Goroka and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Papua New Guinea. With over 13 years of professional and academic experience, he has served in various leadership and academic roles, including Scientific Field Research Coordinator, Lecturer, Head of Department, Dean, and currently Acting Registrar.
He is an experienced research collaborator, having successfully led and contributed to numerous community-based scientific research projects of cultural significance and sustainability. His extensive background in teaching, research, and academic administration reflects his strong commitment to advancing higher education and fostering community engagement through science and innovation.
