My wife, Nadya, and I both share a deep love for the mountains. I grew up in a small town in the United States, surrounded by forests, rivers and hills, while Nadya is from Almaty, Kazakhstan, a city at the base of the Tian Shan mountains. This shared connection has made Enga feel like a true second home for us, and it is a privilege to live and work in such a beautiful and inspiring part of Papua New Guinea.

At IUE, we are proud to be a forward-looking, American-style university dedicated to serving our students and community. Our mission is not only to provide quality education, but to raise the standard of higher learning in PNG to meet and exceed international expectations. We are committed to building a university that is locally relevant and globally recognized – a place where students gain the knowledge, skills, and values they need to thrive in today’s fast-changing world.
