IUE’s Council Members: A Beacon of Guidance and Inspiration for Students and Staff

At the heart of any educational institution lies a dedicated leadership team that steers the vision, values, and direction of the institution. The Innovative University of Enga (IUE) is fortunate to have such a dynamic leadership group, exemplified by its esteemed Council members: Chairperson Mrs. Anna Kavana Bais, Dr. Garry Sali, and Mr. Michael Kambao. Recently, this trio of influential leaders delivered advisory and encouraging speeches to both students and staff, reinforcing the university’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and personal growth.

As the Chairperson of IUE’s Council, Mrs. Anna Kavana Bais brings a wealth of experience and a visionary mindset that inspires those around her. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of perseverance, resilience, and adaptability in today’s rapidly changing world. Mrs. Bais highlighted how the university’s mission is aligned with preparing students not only for academic success but also for becoming responsible leaders in society.

“Education is not just about acquiring knowledge,” she remarked. “It’s about shaping individuals who can rise above challenges, embrace diversity, and contribute meaningfully to the world. We, at IUE, strive to instill these values in our students and staff.”

Her words resonated deeply with both students and staff, reminding them of the responsibility they bear in shaping the future of the institution. Her call for collaborative efforts between students, faculty, and administration left everyone feeling motivated and united in their collective pursuit of excellence.

Dr. Garry Sali, a highly respected academic and Council member, took the stage with a message that was both practical and deeply insightful. Drawing from his own experiences in academia and leadership, Dr. Sali encouraged students to cultivate a growth mindset—one that embraces challenges as opportunities for learning and development.

“Success in education and life doesn’t come from avoiding failure; it comes from learning from every experience,” Dr. Sali said. “Embrace every challenge you face as an opportunity to improve yourself, your knowledge, and your skills. Remember that true learning happens outside of your comfort zone.”

His advice to staff members was equally profound. He stressed the importance of continuous professional development and staying current with new educational trends. Dr. Sali acknowledged the vital role that IUE’s dedicated staff plays in fostering an environment of academic excellence, and he encouraged them to continue nurturing their passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of leaders.

Mr. Michael Kambao, a pivotal member of the Council, delivered an engaging speech that focused on the power of innovation and the significance of teamwork. With the world moving toward an increasingly interconnected and digital future, Mr. Kambao underscored the need for both students and staff to embrace technological advancements and think beyond traditional boundaries.

“Technology is reshaping the way we learn, work, and connect,” Mr. Kambao explained. “It’s essential that we, as an academic community, stay at the forefront of these changes. By working together—students, faculty, and administration—we can create an environment where innovation flourishes.”

He urged students to adopt a forward-thinking mindset, always exploring new ways to solve problems and contribute to their fields. For the staff, Mr. Kambao advocated for a culture of collaboration, where ideas are freely exchanged, and innovation is not only encouraged but celebrated.

Together, Mrs. Anna Kavana Bais, Dr. Garry Sali, and Mr. Michael Kambao offered a powerful message to IUE’s students and staff: the journey ahead may be filled with challenges, but it is also a path brimming with opportunities. Their speeches highlighted the importance of perseverance, growth, innovation, and collaboration. They reminded the IUE community that the pursuit of knowledge is a shared endeavor and that the success of the university depends on the contributions of everyone involved.

As the academic year progresses, IUE stands as a beacon of hope, inspiration, and unwavering commitment to shaping well-rounded individuals who are ready to tackle the complexities of the world with confidence and competence. With the guidance of its dedicated leadership team, the university is poised to continue its mission of transforming lives and empowering the leaders of tomorrow.
